All my life I have been engaged in both rational thinking of mathematics and irrational imagination, the creativity of art, considered by many as antagonistic. I feel that in my case they complement and reinforce each other.

I was born in 1948 in Budapest, Hungary.

At the Apáczai Csere János high school where I completed my studies I had the honor of studying under the graphic artist, Lóránd Sárkány, who was my teacher and mentor for many years.

I continued to develop my drawing skills at the Dési Huber Fine Arts Club under the guidance of the painter, Ervin Tamás.

Beside drawing and painting I majored in mathematics at the Faculty of Natural Sciences of Eötvös Lóránd University.

After graduating in 1972, I worked at the Institute of Mathematics at the Faculty of Electrical Engineering of the Technical University of Budapest first as a fellow, then as an assistant professor. I taught mathematics and computer science in Hungarian as well as in English. Meanwhile I compiled the faculty's multi-volume compendium of math exercises, participated in developing operational systems and software projects.

Today I have the pleasure of practicing my art, painting as I continue to be involved in computer technology.

I usually apply oil with pieces of blades instead of the traditional paint brush creating a very special effect and a unique texture characteristic of my painting.
